Dental Care
Doc·Side Veterinary Medical Center is a huge advocate for proper dental care and yearly dental evaluations.
Good dental care is as important for your pet-as it is for you, and possibly more so-because our pets don’t brush their teeth daily. Proper dental care not only prevents bad breath and periodontal disease but also prevents infection from spreading through the blood stream to your pet’s liver, kidneys, and heart. Bacteria within the mouth can lead to permanent organ damage affecting your pet’s overall health.
Doc·Side provides excellent pet dental care with routine cleaning using both ultrasonic and hand-scaling to remove tartar and plaque from your pet’s teeth followed by high speed polishing and a fluoride treatment.
In addition, we can give your pet a complete oral evaluation. If there are any underlying problems, we provide complete dental care including tooth extraction, digital dental radiographs, and even oral surgery should your pet need it. For the comfort of your pet, all dentistry is done under general anesthesia.
Without a proper dental plan, minor oral issues can progress into advanced and hard-to-treat illnesses. Our goal is to make it easy for pets to avoid gingivitis, dental disease, and tooth loss by providing complete and all-encompassing dental care services to your pets.
